This data portal for PHAN makes avaliable the public health data for local health departments in Nebraska. Currently, there are forty Public Health indicators from Vital Statistics (Birth & Death) and Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. The definition of each Indicator is provided at the bottom of the chart. Please use the menu at the top of the page to navigate through different pages.
The planning, development and implementation of this portal has been developed in collaboration with the Public Health Association of Nebraska (PHAN), the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS), the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD). The data for this portal is being provided by NDHHS; data compilation, database design and web design has been developed by LLCHD. The selection of indicators is determined by a Data Sub-Committee which is comprised of Data/Epidemiology professionals from PHAN, Douglas County Health Department, LLCHD, NDHHS, Two Rivers Public Health Department and Southeast District Health Department.
PHAN provided the web host and purchased the required software licenses with funding from NDHSS. New indicators and data sets will be frequently added to this list. Annual updates for the indicators on this portal will also be posted as and when the new data are available.
The PHAN Data portal is built with LogiXML software. The data itself is compiled from different data sources provided by NDHHS. Please reference the source of the data if you are intending to use this data for your reports.
